The event was attended by over 1500 active and reserve military personnel representing all branches of service, as well as high profile shipping, telecommunications and IT companies including Raith, UPS, Sprint, Microsoft, and Fed Ex. All aspects of the event - from concept design, staging, creative direction, and onsite show management - were provided by the Technical Events Group of American Audio Visual Center.

The General Session utilized AAVC’s VRX line array and PM5D to its full extent. Lighting consisted of 18 Mac 550 and Mac 600 intelligent fixtures, 40 Electronic Theater Controls Source Four Ellipsoidal and ParNel fixtures, and 60 Color Kinetics and A/C Lighting LED fixtures. AAVC chose the LED units for the flexible use of color and the added benefit of a more energy efficient fixture to help reduce power consumption.

We made use of the superb acoustics and lighting in the recently renovated Atlanta Marriott Marquis to add elegance and depth of sound to enhance the attendees’ experience, allowing for subtlety of form and function not normally seen by SDDC. The new Atrium Ballroom at this AAVC property was integral to the success of the General Session portion of the program.
