National Ignition Facility

at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

The event was an outdoor dedication of a National Nuclear Facility in Livermore, California. It was attended by 3500 people including the Governor, several senators and representatives from the Department of Energy.

The National Ignition Facility is the largest scientific project in the United States. It's a place where Fusion is the goal and small nuclear “events” will happen as by-products of the journey to that goal.

American Audio Visual Center supplied a roof system, a 27' wide D7 BARCO wall, speakers, a three camera High-Definition shoot and an experienced crew. Every element of the install was reviewed by a team from the Facility's most detailed mechanical, electrical, and safety engineering group. They remained part of the team from the install all the way through rehearsals.

The event was planned and produced by AAVC's traveling staging division, Technical Events Group.
