The event was attended by over 500 conferees from across the nation. Conference Direct caters to some of the highest-performing event managers in the country who handle clients such as Microsoft, Sprint/NEXTEL, and National Cable & Telecommunications.

All aspects of the event’s staging, design, production, and creative direction were provided by American Audio Visual Center. The General Session utilized AAVC’s 90’wide High-Definition video screen, a full line array sound system, and a lighting display that could "paint" the room into an almost limitless number of possibilities.


Images were presented with over 120,000 lumens of High-Definition video projection seamlessly blended across the entire screen surface using some of the industry’s best equipment. Multiple "picture-in-picture" images were placed along the screen’s length, each with custom borders created on site by AAVC videographers and engineers.

AAVC rigged a concert-level line array audio loudspeaker to provide superb sound and coverage to every seat in the the new Hilton Bayfront’s ballroom. The Instant Replay 360 was used to record introductions and announcements for powerful stage entrances. A wall of wireless microphones using computer-driven software that monitors the sound quality and levels in the room as the show is happening gave the audio engineer real-time feedback for any minor adjustments that needed to be made. All of this was powered by one of the top professional digital audio boards available.

All lighting was entirely designed and programmed by AAVC with nearly 50 moving light fixtures, over 60 LED and conventional lighting fixtures, and LED stage blinders. The overall impact these lights were able to give Conference Direct was a unique room scene for every meeting and meal function during their stay. The walls were painted with vibrant colors and designs that changed the entire dynamic of the room.
